The Pomodoro Technique
Time Management with the Pomodoro Technique
✨ large workloads
✨ effective study
✨ managing distractions
✨ avoiding burnout
Technique:
- Decide on a task to complete/focus on.
- Set the timer (traditionally to 25 minutes).
- Work on your selected task.
- Stop your work when the timer rings and put a checkmark on a piece of paper.
- Take a break. (refer to note below)
After four pomodoro sessions, take a longer break (15–30 minutes), reset your checkmark count to zero, then go to step 1.
Obviously you don't have to stick to every principle mentioned above; you can adjust as you see fit. You could longer or shorter breaks or increase the focus time for your task. Remember, you can use this method for breaking down any big task you have pending.
